Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU REQUIRE A RETAINER TO BOOK?
Yes — a non-refundable 30% retainer is required at booking to reserve your wedding date exclusively for you. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding, ensuring everything is in place so you can relax and fully enjoy your day.
ARE THE TRAVEL EXPENSES INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGES OR COVERED ADDITIONALLY?
Travel within Louisiana is included for my pre-designed wedding collections. For services booked outside of these collections, travel within 60 miles of Baton Rouge is included, with additional distance billed at $0.67 per mile. Lodging may be an additional cost for non–pre-designed collections when overnight travel is required.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS UNFAVOURABLE FOR OUR OUTDOOR SESSION?
If weather conditions are unfavorable, I adapt quickly and work with you to create an alternative plan that maintains the integrity of your session. This may include adjusting the timeline, shifting to a nearby covered or indoor location, or rescheduling when appropriate. My priority is to ensure you feel supported and confident, while still capturing images that align with the intended mood and experience.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
I recommend booking as soon as your date is secured, as availability is limited and dates are reserved on a first-come basis. Prime wedding seasons and weekend dates tend to book one year in advance.
DO YOU HELP WITH TIMELINE PLANNING?
Yes. I provide guidance on timelines and flow to ensure enough time is allocated for portraits, transitions, and natural moments. This helps the day feel unhurried while allowing space for genuine, well-paced imagery.
WILL WE NEED TO FOLLOW A STRICT PLAN OR SHOT LIST?
No. Closer to your wedding day, I provide a questionnaire that allows you to highlight which moments and photographs matter most to you. This ensures your priorities are captured without the need for a rigid or restrictive shot list.
